Celebrating National Assisted Living Week at Kemper House

Kemper House is thrilled to once again celebrate National Assisted Living Week (NALW), taking place this year from September 7–13, 2025. Established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995, this annual celebration highlights the vital role assisted living communities play across the nation. It is a cherished opportunity to honor the residents who inspire us daily, the staff who provide compassionate care, and the volunteers who generously give their time to enrich our community.
 
This year’s theme, “Ageless Adventure,” captures the spirit of exploration, discovery, and joy that knows no age. It reminds us that life’s adventures, whether big or small, continue throughout every stage of life. At Kemper House, we see that adventurous spirit every day in our residents, who bring curiosity, resilience, and joy to our community, as well as in our staff and volunteers who make meaningful moments possible.
 
“Assisted living communities are where memories are made, stories are shared, and new journeys begin,” said NCAL Executive Director LaShuan Bethea. “The theme Ageless Adventure encourages us to celebrate the limitless opportunities for growth and connection that assisted living fosters.”
 
To honor this special week, Kemper House has planned a variety of events and activities to celebrate residents, recognize staff, and connect with our wider community. Festivities will include:
  • Resident appreciation events to honor the individuals who inspire us daily.
  • Staff recognition programs to celebrate the dedication and compassion of our team.
  • Educational seminars to provide resources and support for residents and families.
  • Community outreach activities to strengthen bonds beyond our walls.
We invite families, friends, and community members to join us in celebrating National Assisted Living Week 2025: Ageless Adventure. Together, we look forward to a week filled with laughter, gratitude, and meaningful experiences as we continue to explore the adventures of life – at every age.
