Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to the incredible volunteers who make a difference at Kemper House Highland Heights and Kemper House Strongsville. Your kindness, dedication, and generosity bring joy, comfort, and connection to our residents every day.

Why Volunteers Matter

At Kemper House, we believe that a strong sense of community is essential for the well-being of our residents. Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing their quality of life, whether it’s through engaging activities, friendly conversations, or simply offering a warm smile. The time you give—no matter how big or small—truly makes an impact.

Ways to Get Involved

Looking for meaningful ways to volunteer at Kemper House? Here are some ideas:

  • Lead an Activity: Help with arts & crafts, music therapy, or group games. Residents love hands-on, engaging experiences!
  • Read Aloud: Share stories, poems, or even news articles—reading together is a wonderful way to spark memories and conversation.
  • Share Your Talents: Play an instrument, sing, or showcase another special skill to bring joy to our residents.
  • Pet Therapy Visits: If you have a well-behaved pet, consider bringing them for a visit—residents light up when they see a furry friend!
  • Simply Socialize: Sit and chat, take a short walk with a resident, or share a cup of coffee. Your presence means so much!
  • Garden Helpers: Assist with outdoor gardening projects as we welcome spring—fresh air and flowers are great for the soul.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To all of our volunteers—past, present, and future—we appreciate you more than words can say. Your generosity and kindness bring light and love to both Kemper Houses, and we are so grateful for everything you do.
